Friday Night Funkin' Descriptive

Friday Night Funkin is a open source rythm game, developed by 4 Newground users, the game has a similar playstyle like DDR (also known as Dance Dance Revolution) and PaRappa the Rapper with an aesthetic reminiscent of flash games popular in the early-to-mid 2000's

The game starts by a player character, known as "boyfriend", who has to defeat a variety of characters (or weeks) in rap battling for him to date his love, "girlfriend". Gameplay revolves around mimicking the opponent's notes with timed inputs and trying to not run out of health for the duration of the song.









the game was released on November 1. 2020 where the game became a widespread popularity and became one of the most popular games on Newgrounds, as well as achieving a following online. A full version backed on Kickstarter for release. The controls on this game depends on what you're comfortable with, such as WASD, Arrow keys, and DFJK

lets talk about mods. What are mods? They are simply fanmade by the community, they can have a full week and a custom song, some are remixed or just a skin, many of the mods are related to other games, or maybe their OC, the Friday Night Funkin Mod community is super big, with tons of mods being favorite to many, and having fanarts by others, not only that, some mods have a very good coding or better inputs to smooth your gameplay.





all that, Friday Night Funkin is new and has less weeks (or levels), so it started a kickstarter for you to pledge, the reason why is because they need the money to set their goals in order for the game keep running for more weeks.

Not sure if the kickstarter ended, but I thought it was nice to share the thoughts of this, this game is fun for sure, maybe try it out.
